Dashcam appeal after serious sexual assault in Stroud

Police are continuing to appeal for information about a serious sexual assault in Stroud.

A woman was assaulted on the B4066 Dudbridge Road around midday last Friday.

Officers want to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the Ebley bypass.

A man who was arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The attack took place near to the tunnel along the cycle path opposite Sainsbury's and the victim was found in a distressed state by a member of public.

It is believed the suspect ran along the cycle path which is adjacent to the Ebley bypass.

Police would like to speak to any motorists who may have dashcam or any cyclists with footage of the area between 11.55am and 12.15pm last Friday.

The suspect was described as being male, white, tall, of a slim build and had a large nose. He was wearing a dark hooded top and dark trousers.
