Damage to children's play park thought to be deliberate

A children's play park in Stoke Gifford has been badly damaged in a fire, which police say they think is deliberate.
The cause of the blaze in Meade Park is thought to be deliberate.
Fire crews attended the scene on Saturday (17th June) around 8.30 pm to put out the blaze.
A spokesperson from the police says the blaze has "badly damaged a much-loved community resource".
"We’ve increased our patrols in the parks in Stoke Gifford following some recent reports of anti-social behaviour and we’d encourage local residents to continue to report incidents to the Neighbourhood Policing team.”
"We’d like to speak to any eye-witnesses, as well as anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of the play park prior to the fire breaking out"
