Police investigating after theft of valuable silverware in Cotswolds
The silverware was of "great sentimental value" to the victim of the break-in
Gloucestershire Police have launched an investigation after several pieces of silverware were stolen from a house in the Cotswolds.
Officers from the force were alerted to an incident that had taken place overnight between the 27th and 28th of May at an address in the village of Todenham.
Conducting their investigations, officers found that a number of thieves had broken into the property by smashing in the back door of the house, before stealing the silverware.
According to the force, the silverware is of "great sentimental value" to the victim, who was asleep while the break-in took place between 11:45pm on May 27th and 8am on May 28th.
Forensic investigations of the property have been carried out and officers have been asking door-to-door in the area to find whether there was any suspicious activity.
The force is now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the break-in to get in touch.
As well as this, any potential CCTV footage or dashcam or doorbell footage would be of particular importance to investigators whose enquiries are "ongoing".
Those who may have any information regarding the break-in can reach out to Gloucestershire Police by calling 101 and quoting incident reference number 104 from May 28th.
