Are more customers buying second hand gifts this Christmas?
A second hand shop in Cheltenham said it can be more sustainable and save money.
With Christmas round the corner, Gloucestershire's high streets are expected to be very busy this weekend.
Last minute shoppers will be out hunting for gifts.
But is shopping second hand becoming more popular?
As many people are struggling with the cost of Christmas this year, reusing and recycling could help reduce the price of gift giving.
Shopping for second hand gifts is also more sustainable as materials can be repurposed.
Jim Garry, co-owner of second hand shop, The Flea, said: "There's a lot more on offer and a lot better quality items.
"Something old and used can be much better than something new."
Jim believes shopping second hand can help to reduce our carbon footprints.
He said: "I think recycling and reusing is really important, so much gets thrown away.
"Even new Christmas presents might be used once and then thrown away."
Co-owner, Maddy Kennedy believes you can get more for your money in second hand stores.
She said: "People feel this pressure to spend so much money, and you can do so much more with your money if you don't worry about it being straight from a box."
