Friends of Gloucestershire pupils killed in car crash raise thousands in their memory
A GoFundMe page has raised more than £40,000 pounds for the Midlands Air Ambulance
Overnight more than £40,000 has been raised after three teenagers were killed in car crash in Warwickshire.
Chipping Campden School pupils' Harry Purcell, 17, Matilda Seccombe, 16 and Frank Wormald, 16, died in hospital after being involved in a collision on Friday (21st April).
Close friends Alex Adams and Gracie Edmunds, have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity and plan to run the Oxford Half Marathon in their classmate's honour.
On the fundraiser Alex says he wanted to honour the work of the Air Ambulance in thier attmepts to save his friends' lives, "Us three teenagers will do everything we can to help this service save as many lives as possible so close communities like ours don’t have to suffer with loss.
"We hope you can join us in helping out this amazing service."
In a letter released after the death of the three teenagers, Principle John Sanderson says the loss of these "remarkable and unique" students will be "profoundly felt" and people are invited to leave tributes under the school's flag which is flying at half mast.
Emergency services were called to the B4035 Campden Road, in Shipston-on-Stour at about 4.10pm on Friday, after reports of a collision with a Ford Fiesta and a Fiat 500.
The three teenagers were airlifted to hospital after the incident but passed away a short time after.
Another teen, Edward Spencer, was taken to hospital with serious injuries - but reports suggest he is in a stable condition.
