Cheltenham residents using new recycling app

Cheltenham Borough Council have teamed up with LitterLotto to create a new app to help residents with recycling.

The app allows users to scan the items they want to dispose of and, with the help of AI technology, the app will tell you which recycling bag or box to use, or whether it needs to go in the bin instead.

Every item correctly recycled or binned counts as an entry to an exclusive monthly prize draw, with a £100 cash prize for one lucky resident - and there's also a weekly national £1,000 jackpot.

The app also offers automatic bin day reminders, helping you to stay on top of your waste and recycling.

You can also use the app to pictures of litter you've picked up and binned via the app, using the ‘LitterLotto’ feature – and be entered into a £1,000 monthly prize draw.
