CCTV appeal after woman assaulted in Cheltenham

Officers investigating an assault at a Cheltenham park have issued CCTV images of a woman they would like to identify in connection with the incident.

Police were called with a report that a woman had grabbed the hair of another woman and pulled her around before attempting to punch a second woman.

The suspect and her child ran from the park and in the direction of High Street after the incident.

The assault took place at Winston Churchill Memorial Garden Play area on Market Street at around 10.45am on Saturday 18 January.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101.
