Police appeal over stolen "high value" bicycles from Abbeymead

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a number of high value bicycles were stolen during a burglary overnight.

Police were called to reports that four high value bikes had been taken from the garage on Fosse Close at some point between 10pm on Tuesday 1 September and 8am on Wednesday 2 September.

Thieves had removed roof tiles and cut through the felt to reach the bikes.

The bicycles are as follows:

  • A woman’s Mondraker green and purple mountain bike, with purple handle grips and pedals
  • A man’s Trek Fuel black mountain bike with red and white markings and gold Renthal handlebars
  • A man’s white and red Cannondale mountain bike, with blue grips and pedals
  • A man’s green and black Boardman mountain bike, with gold Renthal handlebars

A Makita drill was also taken during the burglary.

Anyone who has information, witnessed suspicious activity or has been offered the bikes for sale is asked to call 101 quoting incident 95 of 2 September.
