Officers in Cheltenham are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary and suspicious activity in the Fairview area this morning, Thursday 14 October.

Police were called to Winstonian Road shortly after 1.20am after members of the public reported seeing three men acting suspiciously.

It was stated that they had been paying attention to a number of vehicles and had attempted to gain entry to a property before being disturbed.

Upon attendance the men made off in a vehicle, which was later identified as having been stolen from Winchcombe last Wednesday (6 October).

The vehicle collided with a number of parked cars before coming to a stop and the men ran off. They were not located, however the vehicle has been recovered for forensic examinations to take place.

The men involved were described by residents as all being in their 30s or 40s and were wearing ski masks and dark clothing. They are thought to have been in possession of torches.

Police are asking for anyone with information, who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has dashcam/CCTV footage to please get in contact.

Information can be submitted by completing the following online form and quoting incident 30 of 14 October.
