Police appealing for witnesses after assault in Cheltenham

Gloucestershire Constabulary Officers are appealing for witness after a man sustained facial injuries

Police were notified by South Western Ambulance Service that a group of men had assaulted another man in Cheltenham town centre.

The incident took place on Grove Street in the town centre at around 1.45pm on Wednesday 29 January.

One man was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital to be treated for facial injuries after it was reported that one member of the group had punched the victim in the face.

The group of men left the scene following the assault.

Investigating officers have conducted CCTV and house to house enquiries in the area and are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or can provide dashcam/ mobile phone footage.
