Police in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire last week.

Police were called to Ivory Close by the Fire Service at 9.40pm on Monday 5 April following reports that a car had been set on fire outside Tuffley Library.

CCTV shows two offenders, that are believed to be youths, setting a blue Audi Q3 on fire at around 9.30pm after pouring an accelerant over the parked car and lighting it.

They then ran off through Golden Close towards Holmleigh Road before being lost from sight.

The arson resulted in the car being written off due to the bonnet and front half of the car melting.

Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV footage to please get in contact.

Information can be submitted by calling 101 or alternatively by speaking to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
