Appeal to find victims after people spat at in Stroud

Police say a 35 year old man has been questioned and bailed.

A man's been questioned by police after reports of someone spitting at people in Stroud.

It was reported that a man had been targeting members of the public in and around Gloucester Street at about 7.45pm on Saturday 18 May.

Gloucestershire Police officers say they have identified some victims, but believe there may be others and are appealing for them to come forward.

A 35-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on suspicion of common assault. He has been released on police bail and enquiries are continuing.

Anybody who believes they may have been a victim, or has any other information they believe to be relevant, is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary, quoting incident 414 of 18 May.
