Appeal for owners of dogs rescued in Quedgeley to come forward

15 dogs were rescued by police on Friday morning

An appeal has been launched to reunite the dogs rescued by police in Quedgeley with their owners.

Officers found the 15 dogs at a location in Naas Lane on Friday following a multi-agency response with the RSPCA and Stroud District Council.

Enquiries, including microchip checks, have been carried out but no owners have yet been traced.

The 55-year-old man arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with the case has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The recovered dogs are now at a secure location.

• Shitzu - female, grey and white

• Shitzu - female – grey and white

• Jack Russell - female and white

• Cocker Spaniel – female and golden

• Poodle cross/Lurcher – female and cream coloured

• Cocker Spaniel – female and golden

Images of the dogs won’t be issued at this stage of the investigation.

Officers will be looking for proof of ownership so you'll need to send as many details as you can about your dog.
