Aardman Animation premiers educational video for Gloucestershire school children
A new video created by Aardman Animation, made its debut in Gloucestershire today.
A new animation video has been made for kids in Gloucestershire in an attempt to teach them about restorative justice.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Restorative Justice team have teamed up with BAFTA-winning studios, Aardman to create the video.
The short animated clip aims to teach children how to communicate effectively and respectfully - even during times of conflict.
It was premiered this morning Calton Primary school in Gloucester.
Gloucestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner Chris Nelson attended the event.
He said: "The video is targeted at young, primary school children and it's designed to get children to think about relationships and how they relate to other children.
"It also looks at conflict management and tries to explain what the consequences of a bad activity might be.
"This is so that the person who's perpetrating that bad activity is more aware of the impact they're having on someone else so that hopefully they'll think twice about doing it.
"My hope is that by teaching youngsters at an early age, how to deal with conflict, as they grow up, we can reinforce these lessons and hopefully there'll be better people."
