A417 reopens after 'serious' one-vehicle crash

The A417 in Gloucestershire has reopened after a crash yesterday (29 April).

Emergency services were called just after 5.35pm - which was described by police as a 'serious' incident involving one car.

In a statement shared yesterday, officers said: "Police have closed the A417 Brockworth bypass following a serious collision this afternoon (Tuesday 29 April).

"Emergency services were called shortly after 5.35pm with a report of a single vehicle collision.

"Road closures are in place on the bypass between the M5 exit for junction 11A and B4641 C&G roundabout.

"Closures are expected to remain in place for a number of hours with motorists asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area while emergency services remain at the scene.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police is asked to submit information by completing the following online form and quoting incident 382 of 29 April."
