A38 Kingsway closed after two-vehicle crash

The A38 in Kingsway has been closed this morning (9 May) after a two-vehicle crash.
Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that the road is expected to remain shut for a number of hours while a lamppost, which was damaged in the collision, is made safe
In a statement, they said: "A road closure is in place on the A38 in Kingsway following a two-vehicle collision.
"Police received a report of a collision involving a van and a car at the traffic lights by the Asda Supermarket at around 6.30am this morning.
"No-one was injured during the collision.
"Closures are in place to allow a lamppost, which was damaged in the collision, to be made safe and for one of the vehicles to be recovered.
"The carriageway is expected to remain closed for a number of hours and people are being asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police or who has dashcam footage which they feel is relevant is asked to make contact.
"Information can be submitted by completing the following online form and quoting incident 44 of 9 May."
