Paramedics were unable to save her after being called to a 'medical incident'

British Transport Police have confirmed a woman has died following a medical incident at a Glasgow subway station.

Officers were called to Bridge Street around 1.30 yesterday afternoon where she was pronounced dead by paramedics.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police told us: "Officers were called to a report of a medical incident at around 1.30pm on February 20 at Bridge Street subway station, Glasgow.

"Officers attended alongside paramedics. Unfortunately, a lady was pronounced deceased."

A SAS spokesperson added: “We received a call at 12:39 to attend an incident at Bridge Street Station, Glasgow.

"We dispatched two ambulances and one critical care paramedic (CCP) to the scene.”
