Woman attacked and robbed while walking her dog in Renfrewshire
Police are appealing for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted and robbed while walking her dog in Renfrewshire.
The incident happened around 6.50am on Friday, 18 April 2025, in the Ardgryffe Crescent area of Houston.
The 40-year-old woman was approached by another woman wearing a black and pink waterproof coat.
The suspect, who had a Great Dane puppy with her, assaulted the victim and took her belongings before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Detective Sergeant James McAteer said: “This was a very upsetting incident for the victim and we are keen to trace the person described or speak to anyone who knows who they are.
“Around the time of the incident, a black Audi car was in the area and we would like to speak to the driver and see if they saw anything.
“In addition, if you have private CCTV or were driving in the area around 6.50am on April 18 and have dash-cam footage that could assist officers, then please contact us.”
