A team of volunteer medics at Glasgow Street Aid is offering people the chance to sit down and open up about how they feel.

Space to Talk is a monthly drop-in session taking place on Union Street where anyone struggling to get mental health help via the NHS is welcome.

Connor Lynch is training to be a counsellor and said: "Everyone moves at their own speed so if someone needs five hours then they can have five hours.

"Most sessions come to a natural conversation end after 50 minutes once people have got everything off their chests."

The sessions run on different dates every month with the next one due to take place on Tuesday August 20.

Glasgow Street Aid is a team of volunteer medics working every weekend in the city centre at night time responding to emergencies and helping people get home safely.

Connor added: "We often see people who want to talk about relationship problems or alcohol and drug addiction, but no subject is off limits.

"There is such a big appetite for something like this and we just want to give people the vital support they need."
