Vandals ignore plea from children to stop targeting Glasgow nursery
Two outdoor sheds are repeatedly being targeted and now they've been left beyond repair.
A plea from pupils at Rosshall Nursery in Glasgow to vandals to stop targeting their outdoor play area keeps being ignored.
Over the Easter holidays, two sheds had their doors pulled off and toys inside were thrown all over the ground.
"My janitor is having to come in early every morning to check for glass"
Headteacher Natasha MacArthur exclusively told Greatest Hits Radio: "Many of our resources are being destroyed and we can't use the garden the way we should.
"This has been happening for months and my janitor is having to come in early every morning to check for glass and do a risk assessment on the playground to make sure it is safe."
The children previously put up posters and posted letters to the nearby houses asking people to respect the property belonging to the nursery.
A fundraiser has now been set up by staff to raise money to replace the two sheds.
Natasha added: "The staff have been working very hard to try to improve the garden, but they feel every time they do something good it is ruined again.
"Our children made wellington boots with planters which was a really nice experience for them - when they came in the next day they had been emptied all over the garden.
"All their hard work is being treated with absolutely no respect whatsoever."
Angela Kelly's son, Cameron, goes to the nursery, she said: "He doesn't like coming in and seeing things being damaged.
"His dad has been trying to fix things as much as possible but the sheds are now beyond repair.
"When Cameron sees the damage he says 'my daddy needs to fix that' and he should not be saying that when he comes to nursery.
"He should be able to enjoy himself and not worry about these things."
