Van fire closes part of M8 and M77 at rush hour

Police have closed part of the M8 and the M77 after a fire broke out in a van this morning.

The M8 is closed eastbound between junctions 22 and 16 and the M77 is closed northbound at junction 1.

Delays are around 25 minutes.

Drivers are being asked to stay away from the area and use another route.
