US investors have agreed a deal in principle to takeover Rangers.
The 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of NFL franchise San Francisco 49ers, are aiming to buy at least 51% of the club's shares.
A period of due diligence will now take place, with legal paperwork being drafted.
