An appeal has been launched to find a teenager missing from Johnstone for almost a week.

Ross MacCormick was last seen by his family around 1.30pm on July 24 in the Quarrelton Grove area.

But, the last confirmed sighting of Ross was in the Govan area on July 25.

The 15-year-old is described as white, around 5ft. 7, with a slim build and short, black hair.

There is no information on what he could now be wearing.

Ross takes daily medication, and it is not clear if he has enough with him.

Officers have been carrying out extensive inquiries and speaking with family and friends, but no-one has confirmed seeing or hearing from him.

They are also searching in Airdrie where Ross has family and friends.

Inspector Andrew Stewart said: “Our concern for Ross is growing given the lack of knowledge around whether he has enough medication with him.

“I would appeal to anyone who knows Ross or has any information about where he might be to speak to us. We want to ensure he is safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4358 of 24 July 2024.
