A 15-year-old girl and a police officer were rushed to hospital following a high speed car chase and crash in Drumchapel.

A car failed to stop for the police on Dyke Road at around 6:30pm last night, Sunday, 1 March, before the cops set off on a high speed chase.

The police vehicle then crashed with a black Vauxhall Corsa on Duntochter Road in Clydebank.

Following the crash, a teenage girl, who was a passenger in the Corsa, and a police officer were rushed to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Sunday, 1 March, a car failed to stop for officers on Dyke Road, Drumchapel.

“A short pursuit took place with the police vehicle subsequently being involved in a crash with a black Vauxhall Corsa on Duntochter Road in Clydebank.

“A male officer and the 15-year-old female passenger of the Corsa were taken to hospital as a precaution.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
