Police incident closes link road between Blantyre and East Kilbride

Police are asking us to avoid Stoneymeadow Road this afternoon.

It's closed between Blantyre and East Kilbride due to an ongoing incident.

They're assuring us there's no risk to the wider public.

Police Scotland said: "Stoneymeadow Road is currently closed between Blantyre and East Kilbride due to a police incident.

"Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.

"There is no risk to the wider public."
