Police appeal after serious assault in Maryhill leaves victim critically ill

Officers in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in the Maryhill area.

Around 9.10pm on Monday, 20 November, 2023, officers received reports of a disturbance on Wyndford Road.

A 31-year-old man was discovered with serious injuries.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a critical condition.

Detective Sergeant David Whyte, Maryhill CID, said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

"If you saw anything or have any information, including dash cam or doorbell camera footage, please pass it on to us as it could assist us in our ongoing enquiries as we piece together the full circumstances."
