Search for missing Glasgow woman spanning multiple areas

Officers say finding Shona Biggins quickly is their top priority

Police are urgently trying to find a woman missing from Glasgow.

Searches for Shona Biggins are being carried out in the Darnley, Pollok and Nitshill areas.

The 49-year-old was last seen in the Greenacres Drive area of the city around 3am this morning.

Shona is described as 5ft 2in, with long fair hair and wears glasses.

Officers say she is likely to be wearing a black puffer-style jacket and leggings.

Sergeant Stefan Bain said: “We are very concerned for Shona’s welfare and are trying to trace her as quickly as possible to ensure she is safe and well.

“If anyone thinks they’ve seen her, or someone matching her description, since the early hours of this morning, please get in touch with us.

“Shona, if you see this appeal, please contact police so we can make sure you’re okay.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0741 of 21 October.
