Scottish superstar Karen Dunbar joins first Hamilton pride march
She will be playing a DJ set at lunchtime.
Karen Dunbar will join hundreds of people taking part in South Lanarkshire's first ever Pride march later.
Hundreds of people from the LGBT+ community will turn the streets of Hamilton into all the colours of the rainbow at lunchtime.
The Chewin' the Fat star is playing a DJ set and told Greatest Hits Radio: "I absolutely love taking request from people, it's so much fun, I always get right into the spirit of these things.
"I was playing at TRNSMT a couple of weeks ago and the queue for selfies and requests was huge.
"The best request I've ever had was when someone asked me to play 'Band of Gold' once which was brilliant.
"Unfortunately, on the same night, I also got asked to play 'Bits and Pieces'."
The parade will leave Quarry Street at 1pm and make its way to the council's headquarters before turning back.
Organiser Malcolm Thomas-Harley said: "It's really important the LGBT+ community has visibility, representation and a voice in our local communities.
"We shouldn't need to go to the big cities just to have that identity and that is why Pride South Lanarkshire is so important."
