Published 18th Jul 2024

Scotland have dropped nine places down to 48th in the FIFA world rankings.

Steve Clarke's side find themselves below the likes of Panama, Venezuela and Algeria after picking up just one point in their Euro 2024 group.

The national side have won just once in their last 12 outings - a 2-0 friendly win over Gibraltar in June.

Scotland next matches are in the Nations League in September where host Poland before facing Portugal away from home.

Argentina are top of the ranking after their Copa America success - winning the last three major tournaments they have entered.

Euro 2024 winners Spain climb to third - but are still one spot behind France.

England's journey to the final in Berlin sees them also move up to fourth.
