Rangers have completed the signing of Albanian midfielder Nedim Bajrami on a four-year deal.

The 25-year old joins from Italian side Sassuolo in a deal worth £3.4m.

Bajrami played for Albania at Euro 2024 and scored the fastest goal in the tournament’s history in their 2-1 defeat to Italy.

Speaking to the club's official website on transfer deadline day, Bajrami said: “I am delighted to be joining a club the size of Rangers.

“They are a club which is known throughout the world, who have won a lot of trophies and competed in a European final in recent years.

“I have had some good conversations with the manager and I believe Rangers is the right move for me at this point in my career.

“I look forward to meeting all of my new team-mates and fans in the near future.”

He started his career at Grasshoppers in Switzerland before making the move to Italian football.

Empoli secured his signature before he made the permanent move to Sassuolo last summer.

Bajrami joins Neraysho Kasanwirjo who also signed on loan from Feyenoord on Friday.
