Rangers midfielder Jose Cifuentes seals loan-to-buy Greece move
Rangers midfielder Jose Cifuentes has joined Aris Thessaloniki on a season-long loan, with the Greek club having an option to buy.
The 25-year-old Ecuador international signed for the Light Blues last summer on a four-year contract from Los Angeles FC, when Michael Beale was Rangers boss.
Cifuentes had a short spell at Brazilian club Cruzeiro in January and now he is on the move again.
Ahead of the Champions League third qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv at Hampden Park, where Philippe Clement's side are level at 1-1 from the first leg last week, a statement from the club read: "Rangers FC today confirms Jose Cifuentes has joined Aris Thessaloniki on a season-long loan, with an option to buy.
"This follows the ending of his loan spell with Cruzeiro.
"Everyone at Rangers wishes @JoseCifu51 well in Greece."
