Police seize £100k worth of drugs from two homes in Paisley

A 50 year old man, and a 52 year old woman have been arrested and charged in connection

Drugs with a potential street value of around £100,000 have been recovered from two properties in Paisley.

Officers searched properties on Glenshira Avenue and Waverly Road on Friday, 5 July, 2024 and recovered a quantity of Class A drugs, including cannabis and heroin.

A 50-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 8 July, 2024.

Detective Inspector Neil Martin said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the cultivation and sale of illegal substances.

“The public has an important role to play and we encourage anyone with information or concerns about drugs to contact us via 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
