Police searching for two men after Loch Lomond campervan theft

Enquiries are ongoing to find a pair of men involved in the incident

Police are searching for two men who stole a campervan near Loch Lomond on Friday afternoon.

The pair broke into a locker at the spa in Cameron House Golf Club, taking a watch and keys before a white Nissan Elgrand was stolen from the car park.

The van had the number plate ML54 WAY, and was driven away during the incident, which happened between 2.50pm and 4.45pm on May 10.

One of the men involved is described as being in his 20s with dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt and trousers, and carrying a large backpack.

The other is between 30-40, with close cropped dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt, red shorts and black shoes.

Police Appeal

Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell said: “We have been carrying out enquiries and checking CCTV footage from in and around the area to gather more information on where the van travelled after it was stolen.

“This is near a busy road and I am keen to speak to anyone who has any information that may assist our investigation.

“I would also urge drivers with dashcam who were in the area to check their footage in case it holds anything relevant.

“Information should be passed to officers through 101 quoting reference number 2873 of 10 May.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
