Police reconstructing horror crash which killed a cyclist in Bearsden

As part of the investigation officers are carrying out a physical and digital reconstruction of the crash in Bearsden.

Police officers are carrying out a reconstruction of a crash which killed a cyclist in Bearsden.

On Tuesday, 19 March, 2024, emergency services attended the collision which involved a cyclist and HGV lorry in Drymen Road, Bearsden.

The cyclist, 56-year-old Una Brandreth, died. The HGV driver was uninjured.

As part of the investigation officers are carrying out a physical and digital reconstruction of the crash in Bearsden.

The families of those involved have been notified of the reconstruction.

Drymen Road will be open for the majority of the reconstruction, however, a contraflow will be in place which may cause some delay.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: "This reconstruction will enable us to fully establish the cause of the collision which led to Una's death.

"My thoughts remain with her family, and we continue to appeal to anyone with any information or dash cam footage to get in touch."
