Police investigating two separate car fire incidents in North Lanarkshire
Three cars have been set on fire in the area this week
Police in North Lanarkshire are appealing for information after two separates incidents of car fires in the area.
Airdrie incident
The first happened in Airdrie on Wednesday 18 September when a car was set alight outside a home in Dalbeattie Braes at around 10.30pm.
Emergency services found the car was “extensively damaged”.
Detective Constable Lynne Thomson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to please get in touch.
“We would also urge any members of the public with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could be of significance to the investigation to pass this on to officers.”

Bargeddie incident
The second incident happened in Bargeddie in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police were made aware of two cars on fire in a driveway on Rosewood Place at around 2.10am.
No one was injured, but officers say it is being treated as deliberate.
A spokesperson for Coatbridge CID said: “I’m appealing to anyone with information on what happened to get in touch with us.
“If you have doorbell cameras, private CCTV or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
