Appeal for information after assault in Dennistoun
The attack happened late last night
Two men have been seriously injured after an assault in Dennistoun.
The pair, aged 27 and 16, had come out from a premises on Duke Street, near to Haghill Road, after hearing a disturbance outside at around 10.30pm.
Once they were in the street they were set upon by three men.
Both were taken to hospital, where the 27-year-old remains for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
The 16-year-old has since been discharged.
Detective Constable Jo Galea, Shettleston CID, said:
“The motive of this attack has yet to be established.
“Officers have spoken to some of the people who came to the aid of the two men after the attack, however, we are still keen to hear from anyone who has not yet come forward, who was in the area at the time and saw the attack or has any information that may assist officers with their investigation.
“Duke Street is a busy area especially with motor vehicles, so we’d also be keen to view any dash-cam footage from the street, between 10.20 and 10.55 pm.”
