Philippe Clement named on SFWA Manager of the Year shortlist
Last updated 9th May 2024
Philippe Clement has been named on the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Manager of the Year shortlist.
The Rangers joins Kilmarnock’s Derek McInnes, Dundee’s Tony Docherty and Falkirk’s John McGlynn in the final four.
Clement has already secured his first trophy with the Ibrox club - lifting the League Cup in December.
He had also brought Rangers back into the title race, however, they sit three points behind Celtic with three games left to play.
They’ll also face their Old Firm rivals in the Scottish Cup final later this month.
There is no place on the shortlist for Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers in his first season back in Scotland.
His side are favourites to lift the Premiership title heading into Saturday’s top of the table clash.
John McGlynn is aiming for an award double after being voted PFA Scotland Manager of the Year.
Falkirk completed an unbeaten season in League One as they sealed promotion back to the Championship.
Derek McInnes has led Kilmarnock to guaranteed European football next season, while his former assistant Tony Docherty is hoping to achieve the same with Dundee.
The Dens Park side will finish in the top six after returning to the top flight this season.
