Pensioner seriously injured after Glasgow crash

Road policing officers are appealing for information after a serious crash in Glasgow.

The incident happened on A879 Balmore Road, around 3.15pm on Wednesday, 12 June, 2024 and involved a Vauxhall Corsa, a Vauxhall Crossland and a Tesla.

Emergency services attended and the 87-year-old female driver of the Corsa was taken to The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The 31-year-old female driver of the Crossland and the 26-year-old female driver of the Tesla were taken to The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed until around 7.35pm to allow for an investigation at the scene.

Constable Kieran Grant said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
