Pensioner falls from scaffolding in Airdrie
The man has been taken to hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
A 74-year-old man has fallen from scaffolding in Airdrie.
Officers were called to South Bridge Street around 12.45 this afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 74-year-old man having fallen from a scaffolding while working on South Bridge Street in Airdrie around 12.45pm on Wednesday, 7 February.
“The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
“The road has been closed to allow emergency services access.
“Enquiries are ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive has been made aware.”
