Officers investigate after man assaulted in Kirkintilloch
It happened between 6.45pm and 7.45pm in the Hillhead Road area of the town near the roundabout with Eastside.
Officers need to speak to anyone who saw a 54-year-old man being assaulted in Kirkintilloch on Monday night.
It happened between 6.45pm and 7.45pm in the Hillhead Road area of the town near the roundabout with Eastside.
The man sustained a serious injury and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released following treatment.
Detective Constable Ciara Nicoll said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
“It is a busy part of town so please think back and if you were in the area and witnessed this assault let us know.
“Likewise if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then get in touch.”
