Michael Beale breaks silence following Rangers sacking
Beale was sacked by the club on Sunday night
Michael Beale has called for unity at Rangers after he was sacked by the Ibrox club.
The 43-year old and his backroom staff were shown the door by the Ibrox board on Sunday night following their 3-1 loss to Aberdeen.
They now sit seven points behind Celtic in the Premiership with just seven matches played.
Supporters made their feelings known a the weekend with many booing the staff and players.
Beale has now sent a message to fans following his departure, in which he urges them to get together to back new interim boss Steven Davis.
In an Instagram post, he said: "I will always follow and support the club.
"Now is the time for everyone to unite fully behind Steven Davis and the team in the coming games.
"There is still so much to play for this season and I have a strong belief in this group of players. Thank you and good luck."
Reports also suggest former Chelsea boss Graham Potter has already ruled himself out of a move to Rangers.
The Daily Record say Potter has no interest in succeeding Michael Beale despite being second favourite with many bookmakers.
Steven Davis, assisted by Alex Rae, will take charge of their two upcoming matches against Aris Limassol on Thursday and St Mirren on Sunday.
It is understood the club are willing to take their time over their next move to give themselves the best chance of making the right long-term appointment.
