Man seriously injured after motorbike crash in East Kilbride

The rider was taken to Queen Elizabeth University hospital yesterday

A man is recovering in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in East Kilbride.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Thursday 9 May, involving a Hyundai Kona and a black BMW motorbike.

The bike rider was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, while the driver and passenger in the car were taken to University Hospital Wishaw.

Police are appealing for information after the collision, which happened on Strathaven Road.

Motherwell Road Policing unit Sergeant John Houston said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and either witnessed the crash or has any potential dashcam footage from around the time, to please come forward.

“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 3669 of 9 May 2024.”
