Man, 33, jailed for attacking homeless man in Glasgow city centre
It happened on the 30th of October this year
A man who assaulted a homeless man has been jailed for 20 months.
Jordan Dunsmore, 33, pleaded guilty to attacking Andrew Gilmour, 52, in Glasgow city centre on October 30 2023.
The pair initially spoke to each other outside of a shop.
Dunsmore took something from Mr Gilmour who then followed him before he returned to the shop.
Dunsmore then ran back towards Mr Gilmour and attacked him which then led to a fight between the pair.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Mr Gilmour told Dunsmore to leave but he picked up an unknown item from the ground.
Prosecutor Darren Harty said: "He managed to strike Mr Gilmour repeatedly to the face with the unknown item, causing an injury to the victim.
"The physical altercation went on for 60 seconds before both parties split."
Mr Gilmour was taken to hospital where he was found to have suffered cuts to his eyebrow which required stitches.
He also sustained a cut to the centre of his forehead.
