Man found dead on Lanarkshire road
Police were called to Stoneymeadow Road around 8am this morning
A man's been found dead on a Lanarkshire road.
Police were called to Stoneymeadow Road between Blantyre and East Kilbride shortly after 8 o'clock this morning.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road has since re-opened and investigations are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of concern for a man in the Stoneymeadow Road area of Blantyre at 8.10am on Monday, 4 September, 2023.
“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
