Man in court charged with 1994 murder of Irvine mum Shona Stevens

A man has appeared in court accusing of murdering a young Irvine mum more than 30 years ago.
Shona Stevens, 31, was discovered badly injured on a path in woodland in Bourtreehill Park, just yards from her home in the North Ayrshire town on November 10 1994.
She later died in hospital.
On Friday, Police Scotland announced that a 67-year-old had been arrested - with an update on Saturday revealing the man has now been charged.
On Monday Fraser Kilpatrick appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court charged with murder.
He made no plea, and is being remanded in custody ahead of a further appearance within 8 days.
