Man charged in connection with Stuart McGeachie death
Stuart was assaulted in Rutherglen on October 24
A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 38-year-old Stuart McGeachie in Rutherglen.
Officers were called to Farmeloan Road at the junction with Victoria Street around 7pm on October 24.
Mr McGeachie was assaulted on the road before making his way to a nearby flat where he was pronounced dead.
The man charged in connection will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Detective Chief Inspector John Morrison said: "Our thoughts remain with Stuart’s family and friends at this very difficult time. We would like to thank the public for their help so far with our enquiries.
"Our investigation continues and we appeal for anyone who may have information which could help us, who has not yet come forward, to place contact us."
