Man charged in connection with death of Strathaven pedestrian
A 29-year-old male died after being hit by a van on the A726, Glasgow Road in April 2023
A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian who died following a road traffic crash in Strathaven in April 2023.
The crash happened on the A726, Glasgow Road, at around 10.50am on Saturday, 1 April, 2023.
A 29-year-old man, who was one of three pedestrian who were struck by a van, died at the scene. Two other female pedestrians received hospital treatment for their injuries.

The 48-year-old driver of the van is expected to appear in court at a later date.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
