A75 closed in both directions after early morning crash

A major route through the south-west is closed in both directions after a three-car crash in this morning’s rush hour.

Emergency services were called to the A75 at Annan near Northfield at 6.15am.

Police Scotland Dumfries and Galloway wrote on X: “The A75 at Annan is currently closed due to an ongoing incident, as is the diversion through Annan High Street.

“As such, anyone travelling east or westbound should go via Lockerbie, A709.”
