M74 northbound closed after collision leaves one woman in hospital
Police are asking drivers to consider alternative routes

The M74 is closed between Junctions 7 and 8 northbound after a collision.
Police Scotland and emergency services are in attendance at the scene, with motorists being asked to plan different routes.
Traffic Scotland is warning vehicles on the approach are moving very slow with drive times around 23 minutes for the northbound lane.
The southbound lane is open but also moving slowly.
A Police Spokesperson said: "Around 3.30pm on Friday, 24 November, 2023, police were alerted to a road crash involving four vehicles on the M74 northbound carriageway.
"Emergency services are in attendance and we are aware of one woman being taken to hospital.
"The M74 between Junctions 7 and 8 is closed. Motorists are advised to find an alternative route at this time."
