Celtic have added to their defence with the loan signing of Liverpool defender Nat Phillips.
The 26-year old joins on a deal initially until January when the arrangement will be reassessed by all parties.
Brendan Rodgers was keen to add to his backline following injuries to Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki and Stephen Welsh.
Phillips joined Liverpool's academy in 2016 and has played 26 times for the Anfield side.
He has also spent time on loan with Stuttgart and AFC Bournemouth and could make his debut in Sunday's Old Firm clash against Rangers at Ibrox.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Phillips said: “I’m really excited. When I heard about the interest it was one that got me excited.
"There were a few other options that didn’t quite make me feel the same as this one did, so I was really keen to get it over the line and I’m delighted to be here now.”
And as to why Celtic was the perfect choice for him, the new Bhoy explained, “It’s the history of the club.
"It’s such a huge club, the club’s aspirations, the level it competes at, the fact that they’re in the Champions League this year and the mentality of the club – they want to be winners in everything they do.”
